1971 Daren Mk3 Sports Prototype

Built by Daren Cars Ltd. to compete in international sports car racing in 1971. Chassis 71/3/P4 was delivered as new to a Mr. Costa, a gentleman driver residing in Italy and was used to contend various national sports car events. After spending it’s whole life in Italy, chassis 4 was acquired by Legends in January 2009 and returned to its country of origin. A complete restoration was undertaken at Legends’ workshop by Eric Hoult. The attention to detail and engineering lavished upon this racecar is something that we at Legends are proud of!

Fitted with a 1720cc Cosworth BDA engine mated to a Hewland FT200 transaxle, this sports prototype has great potential and is eligible for many topflight historical events. The car made it’s debut at this years Vanasca Silver Flag Hill Climb event in northern Italy. Supplied with fresh FIA Papers.
