1971 Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda We are pleased to offer what has to be one of the finest examples of this iconic model for sale. This left hand drive, automatic car was delivered new to the United States and has covered only 32,000 miles from new. During the restoration process it was noted that this example was corrosion free, when the suspension was disassembled for inspection all factory markings were in place and all bushings etc were in excellent shape further justifying the low mileage. The engine and transmission have been dissembled, inspected and completely resealed using factory OEM parts and seals. The body of the car was stripped to bare metal and painted in the Factory color of DB180 Silver. The interior has been refinished using original black Mercedes Benz leather, which brings the inside of the car to a new standard. In addition both the hard top and the convertible top have been restored and operate as they should.
